The CMB Ice Screw Bag carries 14 screws of various sizes in a lightweight, durable and slick package.
The CMB Ice Screw Bag shares many of the same design elements as the Ultra Stuff Sack and EDM Rope Bag. It's constructed entirely from UltraGrid fabric from Challenge Sailcloth. UltraGrid is an amazingly durable textile considering its low weight which makes it a great fabric this kind of application. It uses a base of 100% recycled nylon with a double Ultra (UHMWPE) grid which gives incredible tear resistance.
14 Internal tubes of varying size hold screws of all lengths securely. Getting screws in and out of the bag is simple and fuss free. All internal seams are bound for extra durability against sharp edges. Between the tubes there's room for a few krabs, some ice clippers and an abalakov thread too.
Our signature open / close system makes getting in and out of the bag super easy, even whilst wearing gloves. The rear webbing loop enables the bag to be clipped to a harness or to the ice at a belay or base of the route.
The CMB Ice Screw Bag's squircle shape is a little more stable when clipped to a harness than a regular tube shape. It's also easy to pack into a sack. The double layer base adds structure and durability, enabling the bag to stand up easily. A drain hole in the base helps moisture escape.
